Terms of Use

1. Who provides the service

Mimo is an iPhone and iPad app operated by ssssstudios, based in the United States. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use it.

Downloads from the App Store are also governed by Apple's standard license agreement. These terms do not replace it: they add what is specific to Mimo. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

2. Mimo is not your doctor

Everything the app tells you —the product scanner, the chat, the symptom check, the vaccine schedules, the growth percentiles— is general guidance, not a diagnosis and not medical advice. It does not know your medical history and has not examined you.

At any warning sign, call your doctor or go to the ER. Do not wait for an app to answer. The alerts you send to your circle do not replace calling emergency services, and they depend on notifications arriving, which we cannot guarantee.

3. Your account

Mimo works without an account: the server creates an anonymous identifier for your installation. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your profile is saved to your account and comes back when you sign in again. For now, what you record is not copied to your account: if you sign out, it is deleted from that phone.

You are responsible for what is done from your device and your session. If you lose access or think someone else has it, write to us.

4. What the AI answers

The chat, the scanner and the symptom check use artificial intelligence models. They are good at what they do and still make mistakes: they can give an incomplete answer, make up an explanation or miss a detail that matters in your case. So:

• Do not use Mimo as the only source for anything that matters.
• Do not use it to decide whether to take or stop taking a medication.
• Always check whatever worries you with your health professional.

There is a monthly AI usage limit per person, to keep the service sustainable. You can see it inside the app.

5. What you can and cannot do

You can use Mimo for yourself, as often as you like. What you cannot do:

• Resell, rent or share access to a subscription.
• Automate use —scripts, bots, emulators in series— or use the chat for anything other than what the app offers.
• Upload, write or request illegal content, or content that harasses, impersonates or harms someone.
• Try to extract, copy or rebuild the content, the illustrations or the models behind them.
• Bypass usage limits or plan restrictions by any means, or try to access other people's data.

If any of this happens we may suspend or close access. When it is an honest mistake, we warn you first.

6. The subscription

Downloading Mimo is free, and free includes the basic features with limits. Mimo Premium is a subscription —monthly or annual— that unlocks unlimited scans, the full "why" behind every answer, your baby's image created with AI, all tools without limits and unrestricted chat. The first time it includes a 7-day free trial.

• The price charged is the one the App Store shows in your currency, with your country's taxes.
• Apple charges your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Cancel it in iPhone or iPad Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you: Apple does not give us that ability.
• If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged. If you cancel later, you keep Premium until the paid period ends.
• Refunds are decided by Apple, under its policies.

If we change the price or what the plan includes, we tell you before it applies to one of your renewals.

7. Your circle

You can invite up to two people to see how you are. Doing so shares your first name, your week, how you are each day and the symptoms you mark, and they receive your emergency alerts. You decide who you invite and can remove anyone whenever you want. Each invitation link is for one person, works once and expires after 7 days. Only invite people you trust.

8. Your baby's image

To create it you upload a photo of yourself and one of the other person. Only upload photos of yourself and of someone who has given you permission. The illustration is an artistic rendering of how your baby might look, not a prediction or medical information.

9. What is ours and what is yours

The app, its texts, the weekly illustrations, the design and the brand are ours or belong to whoever licensed each piece to us. The app being yours to use does not make it yours to copy.

What you record and write remains yours. You give us the minimum permission to process it and provide the service, as detailed in the privacy policy. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

10. The service may change

We add features, change others and sometimes remove what did not work. There may also be outages: part of the app needs a connection and servers, and neither is infallible. If something you were paying for disappears, we tell you in good time.

11. Leaving

You can stop using Mimo whenever you want and delete your account in Settings → Delete my account; what exactly happens when you delete it is in the privacy policy. Cancelling the subscription and deleting the account are two different things: the subscription is cancelled on the iPhone or iPad.

12. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based only on information in the app. Nothing here limits the rights your country gives you as a consumer, which still apply.

13. Children

Mimo is not directed at children under 13.

14. Changes and governing law

If we change these terms we update this page and the date above, and when the change is substantial we tell you inside the app before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
